Ok, so first off, I’m back baby! I haven’t blogged in months as I’ve been taking time off, though I shouldn’t have and I apologize, to write a series of books entitled Why Not Be Free more on that to come. During my hiatus, I got to speak to several people who cut me off in mid-thought to tell me that they felt differently about an issue, case in point, I spoke with a girl just yesterday that wanted to date me. I told her that I am not intending to have sex without being married and her reply is that she has needs and that she doesn’t feel that she could do that. FYI, this girl is a believer, just saying. I also met someone that asked me about the hot-button issue of homosexuality.
I told this person that the Lord disapproves as stated in the bible, verses on this from both the old and new testament below, and the reply from this person, as a Christian and person of faith, was that they do not feel that way. Today I have to state the obvious
and that is Shut up, you do not get to have an opinion with Jesus. How absurd is it to believe that we get to have opinions and don’t get me wrong this is NOT a conflict of interpretation as the interpretations are clear this is a conflict in humanity wanting to live contrary to what God desires. This is not a homosexuality or fornication issue, I merely used those as examples because those were some of the most recent happenings in my personal life, but overall people feel that they get to have an opinion when it comes to the will of God. Really? Now, if you were at work and your boss said that it is standing company policy that all employees make it to work on time and be ready to work when the clock in and your reply is that you do not feel that you or anyone else has to abide by this, however, you would still like to call yourself an employee of the company and draw a paycheck. You want the benefits and pay the company has to offer but would prefer not to follow the policies you feel are contrary to your beliefs AND teach others to do so as well. What insanity and anarchy is this!? Can you imagine a world in which we get to cherry pick and choose what rules we follow and which rules we don’t. In the western world we may have a vague understanding of what this looks like, but not so in some second and third world countries run by gangs, militias and rebels where terror, murder, and fear is a part of every citizen’s life every single moment of every single day. I’m sure they understand this picture a lot more vividly than those that don’t live in such circumstances. To land this plane I’ll say this, it is impossible to please God without faith and the reason is simple, faith is what creates obedience. If I believe that doing it God’s way will yield better results than doing it my way than I will do it God’s way. If I believe suppressing my urge to steal, kill, have sex before marriage, sleep with the same sex, lie to get ahead, be cutthroat and evil, etc. will yield far better results much faster on earth and in heaven than giving in to these urges than it will be less of a struggle to do them. In contrast if I feel that God want me to do these things, BUT if I stop sleeping with whomever they’ll leave me or I won’t be fulfilled and happy or if I stop being forceful and rude in the workplace or in relations that I will get run over and that in the end it won’t work out for my good than I may like the idea of of doing it God’s way, but in the end I just won’t feel like doing it that way so I won’t. Just know that not feeling like doing God’s way means that you and I are agreeing to willfully sin and need to repent and up our faith game until our lives line up with God’s word. If we want the paycheck and benefits of being employed by Jesus than it is natural that we have to follow His company policies.
Hebrews 11:16 New International Version
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Old Testament: Leviticus 20:13 ESV If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination;
New Testament: 1 Corinthians 6:9 ESV Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,
Romans 1:26-27 ESV For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
